Il rally nasce nei primi anni cinquanta, con una denominazione lievemente differente dall'attuale. Dal 1965 ad oggi, il Rally delle Alpi Orientali si è evoluto in un crescendo di importanza e risonanza, da farlo diventare l'appuntamento clou dell'estate nel nord-est d'Italia.

The rally was born in the early fifties, with a slightly different name. Starting from year 1965 until today, the rally has seen a continuous growth in importance, and now is the clou appointment of the italian north-east summer.
